Switzerland is currently the fourth donor country in Albania and the 8th largest trading partner. This partnership is long-term and has started since 1992. Albania considers Switzerland a highly trusted partner and a priority country in terms of development cooperation. Both countries share their common interest in the development and stabilization of the Western Balkans region. Trade between the two countries has grown significantly over the years. Some large Swiss companies are present in Albania. Currently, there are approximately 30 Swiss companies operating in our country, while 35 Albanian companies carry out regular commercial activity with Switzerland.
Albania’s main imports are manufactured products, machinery and equipment, fuels and lubricants, food, chemicals and beverages and tobacco. Albania’s main import partners are Italy, Greece, China, Germany, Turkey, Serbia, Switzerland, France and Spain.
