Switzerland’s Priorities as Chair of the OSCE in 2026

Switzerland is chairing the OSCE – Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe throughout 2026, with a focus on strengthening peace, dialogue, cooperation and the ability of the Organization to respond to today’s challenges.
Under its Chairpersonship, Switzerland has identified five key priorities:
The Helsinki Principles for lasting peace in Ukraine
Inclusive multilateral diplomacy
Anticipating technologies – for a safe and humane future
Democracy, rule of law, and human rights
OSCE’s ability to act
